       BPC    continues to help people living in Beckenham and Penge by providing housing (almshouses),

                         making financial grants for promoting the education of children and young adults in need and

                                   making financial grants to people suffering hardship or distress


    HOUSING  

    BPC owns 6 almshouses in Beckenham and has a long lease on three bungalows in West Wickham. All are small properties most                        suitable for single occupancy. 
     
    Educational Grants

    BPC may assist individual students and schools in a variety of ways.

    This may include -
    -financial grants so children from low income families can go on school trips
    -help towards the cost of clothing and equipment for school trips
    -financial help for extra curricular activities
    -the costs of school uniforms, suits for interviews, university books, IT equipment


    Relief in Need 

    Financial grants are available to alleviate financial need causing hardship or distress. These are in the form of a direct payment for the purchase of items, services or facilities. Applications should come from a professional sponsor.
    Recent examples include a grant to buy a washing machine, a cover for a mobility scooter, a computer for a charity and help for families or individuals overwhelmed by financial problems.
